I’m just as enamored with fairy tales and breathtakingly beautiful couture as I am with the deeper issues connected to clothing, to do with people (self-love and self-expression), society (ethical labour practices), and the world (sustainability). I've always been infatuated with the glamour and allure of fashion, but I've fought against it because it seemed at times, well, shallow. It wasn't until recently, when I started looking at my own relationship to clothing that I realized I had more power in my hands than I had given myself credit for. To truly love something we have to look past the surface, and that's when I became obsessed with digging deeper to see how aesthetic beauty could be more: transformative, positive, ethical, and inspiring.
